Outreach & Mission

Hearts & Hands Knitting Group
Our Hearts & Hands Group was formed in 2007 and has been busy at work knitting items for as many people as it can. The Hearts & Hands group knits layettes for newborns and moms-in-need, lap blankets for nursing home residents, hats, gloves, and mittens for the homeless. The knitters ranges in age from 8 to 80.
The group meets every Tuesday at 10:00 a.m.
All knitters welcome! Beginners, too!
Food of Faith
Westminster partners with local churches to serve hot meals to the homeless and needy families in the Bay County Area on Thursday evening. Meals are available for take-out at Messiah Lutheran. Dinner begins at 5:00 p.m.
All are welcome for a meal
or to pitch in as a volunteer.
Matthew 25 Cafe
On the second Tuesday of each month, a team from Westminster prepares and serves lunch for Bay County residents at the Salvation Army's Matthew 25 Cafe.
Food Pantry
Westminster opened our "YOU Choose" Food Pantry in June.  Allowing families to choose the food items they need and will use, instead of handing out pre-packaged bags.  Click here for more details and times we are open.
The Food Pantry is accessible once every 4 weeks and is open to Bay County residents.
Good Samaritan Rescue Mission
"Expressing God's love by reaching out to the hurting and homeless of the Bay area by providing shelter and care, by developing a community of support, and by proclaiming the Gospel of Christ."
With a donation of $35,000, our generous congregation helped open the new men's wing at this local homeless shelter. For more information about the Good Samaritan Rescue Mission, please see their website: www.gsrmbaycity.org
