Imagine

Can you imagine…

A fall walk…

A tree glistening…

Leaves radiant with colors of all sorts,

Shades of brown, vivid oranges, light reds,

Shades of green, bright yellows, dark reds…

The sun above and beyond, its rays shimmering through the leaves.

Can you imagine…

The sun filled with warmth, love, beauty, truth…

Filled with all wondrous things…, joy…, hope…

Can you imagine…

The leaves embedded with our names…

Names of family…, names of friends…

Names we know…, names we don’t know…

Can we imagine…

Our world, the rays of sun with all their glory,

Radiating and reflecting through us and among us?

Can we imagine…

Ourselves listening more…, involved more…, engaged more…

Our world becoming more…

Becoming more like that tree…

Glistening and vibrant from colors of all sorts,

Radiant and joyful from sunlight our source.

May it be that we can imagine…

May it be that our imagining becomes our believing,

Becomes our acting, and gradually…becomes our reality…
